Artist story about Taggart Lake in Grand Teton National Park and ‘Timeless Beauty’:

I painted this to commemorate 40 years in the gallery business and 40 years as a full-time artist in 2009. The occasion helped me title the painting as well.

This is the same view I enjoyed almost 50 years ago when I moved to Jackson to work at Jackson Lake Lodge for the summers. It is as beautiful as ever today and a place I still visit as often as I can.

When Taggart Lake finally deices every spring, vivid bursts of green explode on the aspens and in the grass while the Tetons still retain a wintry appearance.

The effect is impressive enough to make it the subject of my commemorative 40th anniversary painting.
